"Ka Baird, Daniel Carter and Chris Corsano are three musicians that hardly need introduction here. Ka Baird first appeared with midwest weirdoes Spires that in the Sunset Rise and more recently has been turning heads with her ecstatic flute and movement driven solo performances. Saxophonist and multi-horn player, Daniel Carter, has been a ubiquitous presence in NYC since the 70s loft scene, but his rare openness has led him to collaborations with musicians from every generation--and just about every underground scene--since. Drummer Chris Corsano has found himself equally at home playing free jazz, noise, and all manner of improvised musics and counts Evan Parker, Joe McPhee and Bjork amongst his past collaborators. Their appearance at Fire Over Heaven will only be there second show ever. Those that caught their first meeting a few months back at Pineapple Reality are still retrieving their jaws from the floor.
