Tidbits otherwise, the Outpost is the only venue that’s ever fed me
properly before a show (I’ve never played in Europe). Che was
accompanied by Onda and Dorji that night; they were good company,
performed after me, gave me the feeling that they’d sailed over to my
desert island with some good rum and ‘mellowed my mind’ as Neil
would say. They played the way that makes you miss ‘days in the band.’ Sometimes going through the soft-torture of performance is worth it in order to hear that you’ve opened the air for another’s truly beautiful work. -- R.E.

When making music alone, people often turn to machines. Some might call it a crutch, but sometimes it’s just a way to do it by yourself, which might be the most important thing. Synthetic drum patterns aren’t a substitute, more like readymades. Over this, the details of this interior world are intimated by the voice and the bass.
