Back in May of 2018, I wrote that "...Arian Shafiee's reputation as the guitarist with the highly caffeinated (and celebrated) noise-punk band Guerilla Toss surely precedes him these days, but here he'll be trading electricity for the wooden resonances of the acoustic guitar and re-imagining the instrument through the use of eccentric tunings and extended techniques..." Arian indeed showed up with his acoustic guitar, but he also brought an electric guitar fretted in 24 tone equal temperament on which he played a played a fittingly gritty tribute to the recently departed Glenn Branca.
